The Cynon Valley Museum & Gallery, 2003
Aberdare has its own museum. This is housed in a converted industrial building.
Very close by is a blast engine house and a row of four furnaces from the early
nineteenth century Gadlys Iron Company. The museum has many exhibits which
are well worth a visit. The building also houses a picture gallery and café.
Locate the museum by heading for Tesco; the museum is opposite.
On the mezzanine floor, visible in this photograph, you will
find the
[Ivor] Parry Suite - a Conference & Meeting Room.
