Exam Celebration

The A level results in 1993 at Aberdare Boys’ Comprehensive School were particularly good. Exam results days at schools are frequently the haunt of local newspaper photographers, who often require the successful exam candidates to jump for joy. In this case not everyone jumped at the same time!
The boys are Lawrence Atkins of Landare, who intended to go to Leeds to study medicine; Rhidian Shelton, of Pant Cefn-y-ffordd farm, Penderyn who was off to Sheffield, also to study medicine; and Noel Jenkins of Landare who was going to Leicester to study mathematics.
