A Geography Expedition in the Dinas Rock Area
from Gwyn Evans
a photo from Mr T.J. Evans’ collection
This may be one of the tramway bridges crossing the Mellte above Dinas Rock.
The tramways, which ran down the banks of the Nedd and Mellte, carried minerals
from the quarries and silica mines.
Old maps show the area to have been the location of several
industrial undertakings.
The large party of ABGS geographers are about to pass the warning notice that reads,
"Notice: Trespassers Will Be Prosecuted."
