School Dramatic Production, April 1904
White Magic (Netta Syrett) & The Critic (R.B. Sheridan)
from School Archives
In the early days of the school, the first Head Master W. Jenkyn Thomas, instituted a series of ambitious dramatic productions. Currently, we know the details of just the 1904, 1905 and 1906 plays. Casting was easier in the years prior to 1914, when the school had both boys and girls to take the parts. By clicking on the small page images below, you will be able to read details of the 1904 event, including the cast members.
White Magic is described as a A Fairy Play, which might have been the choice of the Headmaster, as at this time he was himself preparing his book The Welsh Fairy Book, first published in 1907; he clearly had an interest in this field.
