W.G. Moffat’s farce Bunty Pulls the Strings was a very successful production
staged in 1911 at the Haymarket Theatre in London’s West End.
It also appeared on Broadway later in the same year. The play was also made into
a film in 1921.
The writer, Graham Moffat, was born Glasgow 1866, and died Cape Town 1951.
Although 1934 is written on the back of this photograph, the same photograph appears
in the
Jubilee Commemorative Booklet, but there it is dated 1932.
