Miss Constance Enid Barnes, (1903–79), was from Cardiff, and educated at Cardiff High School for Girls.
She gained an honours degree in English from U.C. Cardiff, (1920–1925), and was appointed to the County School in October
1928 to teach English and Latin.
She played an important role in the Aberdare W.V.S. during WW2 as Transport Officer. Her last appearance in a staff photograph
was in 1947.
She lived at New Scales House, Llwydcoed in the 1960s.
