Miss Ivy Marian Long came from London, where she was educated at The Godolphin and Latymer School. She gained an honours degree in History from
Westfield College, London, 1921–24. She was appointed at Aberdare in 1925 and stayed until July 1946.
She taught History, Geography and Drawing.
