Presentation to Mrs Jennie Williams, School Secretary
Mrs Jennie Williams was appointed to the post of School Secretary in 1940
- as Miss Jennie Lewis. Apart from her War Service, she
remained at the school for forty years and served under the last four of the
eight headmasters.
She still lives in Gadlys Rd, (June 2011), opposite where the Western Welsh
garage was situated,
and where her late husband Selwyn worked as a driver.
The photograph shows Elsie Richards, a school colleague, making a presentation
to Mrs Williams
on completion of her 40 years service as the School Secretary, June 1980.
Mrs Williams went on for a further year before retirement.
