*Mr Caryl John Edwards was a master at the school from 1958 until Whitsun
1970; he taught Economics and History.
He succeeded Mr Edwin Davies who died unexpectedly while in the U.S.A. during the
summer holidays of 1958.
Mr. Edwards left in 1970 to become headmaster at Aman Secondary School, Godreaman
and later in Aberaman,
then moved from there in 1976, returning to his home county to become headmaster
of Amman Valley Comprehensive School,
Ammanford, where he remained until 1992. (From September 2012 the school will be
known as Ysgol Dyffryn Aman.)
He was awarded the OBE in June, 1987.
