The photograph shows the presentation of the cup for the inter-school
relay race to the winning team from Aberdare.
The athletics meeting took place in Barry, circa 1939.
The cup is being presented to Trevor Taylor, relay team captain, by the mayoress
of Barry, who would have been Mrs Anita Howe,
wife of Dudley T. Howe, the first mayor of Barry.
From left to right the boys are as follows: Oswald Davies, Dennis Hoggins,
Trevor Taylor and William James.
