ABERDARE Boys’ Grammar School sports were held on the school field at Robertstown, and although the weather was not too kind, a large number of parents and pupils attended the meeting.
All the events were contested with keenness and enthusiasm, and for the first time, the inter-school relay contest was won by Caerphilly Grammar School.
John Davies (6 alpha) was the athletics captain, and the event was organised by Mr. E.J. Excell, sports master.
The results are given in the order they were completed. (L stands for Llewellyn House; P, Penri; T, Tudor; and D, Dewi).

Penri, who have held the championship cup for many years, were surprisingly defeated by all the other houses. Dewi are the new holders, and Llewellyn are the runners-up.
