The main entrance to the school, opened in 1964

The Lower School building first occupied by pupils in July 1982.
This replaced the previous Lower School building located in Rhydywaun, but which was destroyed by fires in January & April of 1979.
In the intervening period lower school pupils were housed in four different locations, one of which included a former junior school in Hirwaun.

The Dare Community Sports Hall opened August 2007. The logo was designed by Andrew Ho, a school pupil from Hirwaun.
