† The following four boys were WW2 casualties:
Meurig Evans was a Sergeant (Flight Engineer) in the RAF. He died aged 19 on 9th August 1944. He was buried in Guemicourt Churchyard, near Amiens in northern France.
Kenneth Lloyd was a Sergeant (Air Gunner) in the RAF. He died aged 19 on 26th June 1943. He was buried in Aberdare Cemetery.
Terence Henry Williams was an Aircraftman 1st Class, in the RAF. He died aged 21 on 4th March 1945. He was buried in Aberdare Cemetery.
David Bawden Powell was a Lieutenant in the 2nd Bn. of
the Welch Regiment. He died aged 23 on 27th February 1945. He is commemorated
on the Rangoon Memorial in Myanmar (formerly Burma).
