Names of pupils who were in the 1933 Entry
from School Records
The school records are completely missing for the 1933 entry. Instead, published
Entrance Scholarship results for this year should give us a fairly good idea of the
pupils who entered Form 1. But it would include the names of boys who declined their
places, or moved away from the area. On the other hand the list excludes those boys
who entered the school by transfer from another area.
The following table gives the names of the top 80 boys in the scholarship pass
list in rank order. The school normally took no more than 66 boys into Form 1, so the
list should include all those eligible for entrance, (and more), and is the best
estimate for the 1933 entry.
