Aberdare Boys School Centenary

This is the text of the compendium published in 1996 on the occasion of the centenary of the boys school in Aberdare. In that year a celebration and reunion was organised by a number of people, including Ken Griffiths, a pupil at the school from 1948 to 1955 and a teacher at the school from 1964 to 1995. He has been a Governor of the school for 20 years, and is still in post. Ken compiled this centenary booklet described in the introduction as containing "......the sentiments, experiences, thoughts and opinions of a number of past (and one present) students". He has given us permission to publish the pages here for the benefit of the many old boys of the school who were unable to attend the reunion.
