Geoff Kerley

ABGS 1962-64

Geoff was brought up in Aberaman and attended the National School in Cardiff Street. He came to ABGS after completing his O‑levels at Abertaf. Geoff graduated in Geology from Swansea University in 1967 and began teaching the subject at Price’s Grammar School in Fareham, Hampshire.  After eleven years there, he returned to Aberdare and began teaching at the Boys School, starting in the first year after it became a comprehensive school in 1978.

He retired from his post in 1997. He has two sons one of whom is also a geologist.
