Practice 11-plus mental arithmetic tests set at Caradog primary school, 1956

These papers were set by Percy H. Escott who taught ‘Standard V’ at Caradog Junior School in the 1950s. He was a past pupil of both
Caradog, in his day called The Town Council School, and of Aberdare Boys County School.
He entered the Trecynon school in 1916 and left in 1921 after gaining his CWB School Certificate.
Many of his ex-pupils will remember his characteristic hand writing that can be seen in the second practice paper below.
