National Youth Orchestra of Wales: Concerts 1964

This page contains the programme of the concerts given by the National Youth Orchestra of Wales in 1964.
They took place in Tenby, Bridgend, the Eisteddfod in Abertawe, Newport, Cardiff and Aberdare.

In 1964 there were no pupils of our school in the orchestra.
However, the leader of the orchestra, Roy Gillard, came from Hirwaun - anybody know what school he went to?

Miss Marie Howells was the violin teacher allocated to both ABGS and AGGS; she set Roy as an example to her pupils.
Miss Howells lived in Dan yr Allt, near the top of Abernant Road.
