School Musical Production, May 1950
'Merrie England' by Edward German

This was the tenth concert in the series. There was a varied programme with the main work by Edward German. The conductor was Mr T.R. James; possibly this was the first concert not to have been under the direction of P.E. Phillips. There were four soloists: soprano, contralto, tenor and bass, with some parts taken by members of the chorus. The Morgan Lloyd Orchestra was hired for the occasion, and Miss Meudwen Smith was the accompanist.
