A.L. Trott, M.A.(Wales), M.Ed.(Dunelm), was from Neath. He had a first class degree in History, but taught a variety of subjects at school including Art.
He transferred to Llandrindod Emergency Training College with Mr G.P. Ambrose in 1946, but did not return. After Llandrindod he gained a lectureship in the education department at UCW Aberystwyth.
